Even locals recommend this cavernous microbrewery tucked in the side street of the Old Town Square. A bistro-style menu with Polish specialties that go very well with their beer is offered here.

Pappagallo Aperitivo e Pasta fresca

This pleasant little Italian restaurant has good, straightforward food including homemade pastas with a free selection of sauces and piadizza. The dishes go well with a glass of Italian wine that they serve. In the warm month you can sit outside and see how life goes by.

Botanik Bistro

This bistro is a perfect place for lunch, especially if you value quality, local products and people who have passion for food. The restaurant is located near the bus and train station. The dish of the day is 15zl and the quality/price ratio is just amazing.

Kraina smaku

Close to the Chrobrego Square lies a fine eatery, just perfect for breakfast and lunch. It has a broad menu of homely food ranging from egg-dishes to jump-up your day, to pancakes, soups and salads. Daily set lunch menu is a winner for many.


It’s a short walk from the Old Town but if you are looking for a great breakfast or lunch spot, search no more. This little oasis has all breakfast classics like omelettes, porridge, French toast, sandwiches and plenty of coffee.

Czeska Hospoda

In this friendly place, you will eat well. The kitchen serves homemade type of food – Polish and Czech, all in the company of Czech draft beer. The portions are generous and the beer is cold.

Biala 16

Great and chic place for a business, yet casual, breakfast or lunch. Located near the City Hall serves, among the others, pizza, soups, fish, meats and pasta.

Bistro 43-300

Not centrally located and quite new, but already popular with the locals. It’s a simple but cozy place that serves traditional Sunday meals – soups and main dishes and additionally some street food, pasta and pizza. It also has beer garden in summer.

Niecodzienna Bistro Café

Niecodzienna is a specious and bright space that offers good value home style food and excellent soups. It’s located in Cygański Las and while there it’s worth to see what sort of dish of the day they serve on that day.

Their potato pancakes made this restaurant legendary. They are huge, traditional and tasty. The place is very casual, best in the summer when you can sit outside. The menu includes also other dishes such as soups or traditional main courses.

It’s a lovely place for breakfast or lunch. The staff is friendly, and the menu consists of typical breakfast items such as eggs in different shapes and forms, porridge, toasts, paninis, salads, bagels, smoothies or soups.
